Extra Credit Reading Notes: Bluejay and Companions

This week I decided to do some extra credit reading. I choose to read part A from the Native American Hero Tales Unit. One story that really stood out to me was “Bluejay and His Companions.” In this story the men have animal names such as bluejay, land Otter, and Beaver just to name a few. In my story I think I will have my character be the actual animals that the men in the original story are named after. Also, I like how this story has a quest and adventure theme to it. In my story I want to incorporate some type of quest that my characters have to embark on. The quest purpose will either be to retrieve something the tribe needs or a journey of self-refection and personal growth. At the end of this story Bluejay and his companions where freed and in my story I want to go one step further and have a happily ever after ending.
