Growth Mindset: Inner Voice

I enjoyed the animation work that was created by Michael Wesch, which was very well done for a first-time animator. I enjoyed learning of his journey and transformation of teaching when he took the effort to understand why a student in his class slept through his lectures. Once again, Michaels inner voice looked at the negatives, he was boring, his teaching had no value and he was wasting his time! Of course, that negative inner voice was not close to the truth. He took the time to get to know his student and the events that were causing his drowsiness and poor performance in class. It was not the teacher, but the passion the student had for another creative endeavor that was taking all of his sleep.

I was reinforced to make sure my inner voice is a positive and encouraging voice! I also want to be better at not just making assumptions about the motives and actions of others that are important to me, but to reach out and understand what might be causing unusual or troubling behaviors.
