Reading Notes: Brothers Grimm (Crane), Part A

For the final week of this class I have decided to explore the Brother's Grimm (Crane) Unit. I liked how these stories remind me of all the fairy tales I use to read when I was little, however the
Brothers Grimm put an evil/gruesome twist on these stories. The story that really gave me inspiration to write my own story was "The Robber Bridegroom." I like the use of dialogue between the characters in this story as well as the description of the characters. I like how this story used a bird as the voice of reason and warned the girl to turn back. In my own story I'm going to use a cat as the voice or caution. I also like the tool of a dream that was used and I think I will use this tool to be a warning to my main character.
